At the request of Geri McCormick, I picked up where her late husband and founder of Virgin Wood Type, Bill Jones, had left off. Using the Darius Well's design found in Rob Roy Kelly's American Wood Types, 1828–1900, I redrew Aetna for VWT's catalog. As with Gothic 540, the vectors were laser cut into 1/8" birch and are traced by the pantograph to cut the designs into hard maple.
